From Luxury Listings NYC: Domestic air travel these days is the equivalent of “Lord of the Flies” and even short first-class flights to Miami can be a nightmare. Enter Blade, an aviation startup founded by former Sony and Warner Music Group exec Rob Wiesenthal and GroupMe cofounder Steve Martocci.

The service will shuttle one-percenters via helicopter from one of three Manhattan luxury lounges to a Gulfstream IV jet at the Westchester airport. From there, they will be whisked away to all the sun, sea, sand and high-priced art Miami has to offer. [more]
