Porsche Design Tower. Inset: Dr. Jose Ben-Hur

A company controlled by two prominent Brazilian doctors paid $5.7 million for a unit at Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach.
Records show Cathemares Inc. closed on unit 4803 at the 60-story tower. Dr. Jose Ben-Hur de Escobar Ferraz Neto and Dr. Rogerio C. Afonso, also in the medical field, control the Brickell-based company.
Benhur specializes in treating liver disease, according to his practice’s website. He founded the Instituto do Fígado na Real e Benemérita Beneficência Portuguesa in 2013, and currently serves as the honorary consultant surgeon at the Liver and Hepatobiliary Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, his website says. Afonso also works in Ben-Hur’s office.
The pair join buyers like Mexican billionaire Carlos Peralta Quintero, who paid $6.54 million for unit 1101, Colorado Rockies player Carlos “CarGo” Gonzalez, Brazilian media  Edir Macedo, known as “the Bishop” and Russian businessman Igor Yakovlev.
The 132-unit, 60-story building, at 18555 Collins Avenue, has an estimated $840 million sellout. Its amenities include the widely publicized “Dezervator,” a car elevator that takes residents in their cars up to their units, balcony plunge pools, and racing and golf simulators.
