The same buyer who in December purchased the former Matheson estate in Key Biscayne for $47 million has also purchased a newly built mansion next door for $11.8 million, bringing the total to $58.9 million.
Miami-Dade County records show Boca Breeze LLC bought the home at 755 Mashta Drive in January. The roughly 15,000-square-foot mansion includes 10,250 square feet under air, six bedrooms and six bathrooms. It was completed in 2014, according to property records. The 13,898-square-foot lot it sits on last sold for $4.2 million in 2009.
Olive Developments LLC, led by Darren Docwra, sold the Key Biscayne home for $1,151 per square foot. Docwra is chief operating office of Islandbridge Properties, a United Kingdom-based property development and investment company.
In December, the buyer paid an island record of $47 million for the Matheson estate at 775 South Mashta Drive. That property, a waterfront five-story, 11,600-square-foot mansion sits on about 2 acres and includes 2,000 feet of water frontage. It features 360-degree views, a pool and gazebo area, and a private deep water yacht harbor. The home sold for $4,052 per square foot. The sale marks the second most expensive residential sale in Miami-Dade in 2015.
Boca Breeze LLC ties back to a JP Morgan Chase trust in Delaware.
