Eric Groffman and the 47-story Miami Tower

JLL’s Miami office has signed on a new executive vice president: Eric Groffman, a leasing veteran who’s bringing two high-profile buildings with him.
Groffman is giving up his role as senior director at commercial brokerage Transwestern, where he spent the last nine years leasing properties throughout Miami-Dade County.
At his new job, Groffman will work toward strengthening JLL’s leasing team. He was an attractive hire because of his relationships with institutional owners of office buildings, JLL Managing Director Alan Kleber said in a news release.
Groffman is bringing two big leasing assignments with him: the iconic color-changing Miami Tower in downtown Miami, his latest task before leasing Transwestern; and Courvoisier Centre on Brickell Key. Together they house more than 1 million square feet of office space.
The hire comes hot on the heels of JLL’s acquisition of brokerage Cresa South Florida — a move that doubled the size of JLL’s local team and brought its portfolio up to 28.6 million square feet throughout Florida. — Sean Stewart-Muniz
