A Georgian-style estate on La Gorce Island is back on the market with big price chop.
The nearly 2-acre property at 100 La Gorce Circle Drive is asking $34.9 million, down from $39 million earlier this year. Lourdes Alatriste of One Sotheby’s International Realty is now the listing agent, replacing Pier Paolo Visconti.
Built in 1952, the 10,155-square-foot mansion has seven bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms, a guest house, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a full-size clay tennis court, and more than 500 feet of waterfront on La Gorce. The home was renovated to feature a new 950-square-foot kitchen, walnut floors, a new roof, impact windows and doors, new electric and plumbing. It also has a new dock, two boat lifts, sea wall cap, and smart home features.
It’s now asking $3,437 per square foot. Based on its total asking price, the home is the seventh priciest on the market in the Miami Beach area, according to Realtor.com. At No. 1 is 46 Star Island Drive, which is on the market for $65 million, and behind that is the pricier of Ken Griffin’s Faena House penthouses, asking $55 million.
“This is [for] a client that wants a lot of land, wants tennis courts, wants to be private,” Alatriste told TRD. “Really, to be able to find two acres on La Gorce, it’s extremely difficult.”
Rapa Holdings, a Bay Harbor Islands-based company, owns the property. Alatriste declined to identify the owners, but said they were looking to downsize now that their children moved out of the house. They paid $11 million for the home in 2012.
