Atton Hotel’s first-ever location in the United States is officially open for business.
The South American hotel chain recently held a grand opening party for its Atton Brickell Miami Hotel, a $65 million development that took roughly two years to build.
Leadership from Atton, including the company’s CEO Francisco Levine, gathered in the hotel’s lobby at 1500 Southwest First Avenue to toast specialty cocktails and celebrate the 275-room project’s completion. Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado was in attendance, as was artist Sebastian ErraZuriz who hails from Atton’s home country Chile.
The 12-story hotel, which overlooks Simpson Park, is being marketed toward corporate and leisure travelers looking for rooms priced in between rates found at the nearby Hampton Inn and Four Seasons properties. Its amenities include a rooftop pool, bar and lounge, full-service Peruvian restaurant, 6,000 square feet of conference space and a gym. Introductory rates will be $159 per night.
Atton bought the 40,000-square-foot site where it built the hotel for $6.3 million in 2013, according to county records. — Sean Stewart-Muniz and Katherine Kallergis
