The former managing director of all eight ONE Sotheby’s offices in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties has left the firm to join Brown Harris Stevens | Zilbert, The Real Deal has learned.
Reginald Fairchild, who acted as ONE Sotheby’s executive vice president, started his new job as a residential agent for Brown Harris Stevens | Zilbert’s Miami office on Thursday.
His switch comes three months after Zilbert International Realty was acquired by Brown Harris Stevens. Fairchild had worked at the firm’s New York office some years ago. The two brokerages teamed up in a bid to capitalize on a growing residential market in Miami.
“I had previously worked with Brown Harris Stevens in Manhattan and am very familiar with all the firm has to offer,” Fairchild said in a statement to TRD. “When you combine that with Zilbert’s success, market share and technology, I knew that this was the best platform for my business.”
During his tenure at ONE Sotheby’s, Fairchild helped the firm expand into Fort Lauderdale and North Miami. He oversaw $1.6 billion in sales during 2013, according to a news release.
Fairchild also worked as the vice president of Sotheby’s International Realty’s Palm Beach office, where he helped triple the brokerage’s sales volumes.
So far this year, several executives at ONE Sotheby’s, including Gus Rubio and Eloy Carmenate,  have jumped ship to competing firms. But the firm has also had some high-profile hires of its own. In March, ONE Sotheby’s lured away Fortune International Realty’s director of operations and finance. And in August, the brokerage brought on a new director of sales for its Miami Beach office.
