A former president of the town council in Palm Beach and his wife listed for sale their five-bedroom, custom-built house with an asking price of $28.5 million.
Retired businessman David Rosow and his wife Jeanne completed the 15,613-square-foot house at 1460 North Lake Way in Palm Beach in 2005, replacing a house at the same address they bought in 2000 for $4.7 million.
The property includes a gym addition, built on a parcel the Rosows purchased in 2013 for $1.8 million, a deep-water dock and 150 feet of waterfront.
The Palm Beach Daily News also reported that the couple apparently had marketed the house privately, starting in May, before listing it with Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate.
Rosow told the newspaper that he and his wife plan to move to a smaller residence in the North End section of Palm Beach. He declined to elaborate.
Rosow, who served on the town council from 2008 to 2014, now serves in a volunteer role as president and CEO of a private high school called Oxbridge Academy. [Palm Beach Daily News] — Mike Seemuth
