Edgardo Defortuna of Fortune International Group and Manuel Grosskopf of Château Group hosted a luncheon at Casa Tua last week, during Art Basel.
The event centered around Italian designer and architect Michele Bönan, who is working on the interiors of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sunny Isles Beach, a 52-story tower with 212 units. The Fortune-Château joint venture will break ground on the Ritz next year. It’s slated for completion in 2018, according to a press release.
The development will include a beach restaurant, pool deck, kids club, spa, gym and wellness center, a library, car wash and electric car charging stations. Additional amenities, for an extra charge, include access to housekeeping, fuel delivery, personal chefs, dog walkers, nannies and childcare, reservations and grocery shopping. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. will manage the property.
Other Sunny Isles projects, either completed or in the works, include Aurora, Mansions at Acqualina and Chateau Beach. – Katherine Kallergis and Sean Stewart-Muniz
